Darren Gowling

Darren Gowling

Darren has worked in the VC sector since the mid-90s and during this time has developed experience of creating, launching and managing venture capital and seed funds in the North West, Wales and the South West.

Darren has since operated at Fund Manager/Investment Director and Principal level since 2002, he now boasts 20 years experience in the UK Venture Capital industry with focus on early stage SMEs, syndicated investments and ERDF structural funds. Darren has led and managed 150+ individual transactions investing over £50m and leveraging private sector investment in excess of a further £50m

Darren started at BFS early 2015 as a Senior Investment Director for BFS’s Co Angel Investment Service.

 

Barry Flynn

Barry Flynn

Barry joined Co from his role as managing partner of EY’s Liverpool office, having spent 36 years with EY, 21 as a partner. Throughout his career Barry has played a significant role in driving entrepreneurship across the North West and has worked with many new and growing companies, from start ups through PE backed to FTSE 250.  Barry will be working with the Co Angel team to leverage investment from syndicates of Angel investors into ambitious and growing businesses in GM, leading in particular on major corporate and institutional relationships.

Jasmin Wall

Jasmin Wall

Jasmin started with BFS in May 2015 transiting from the Education sector to Finance. Jasmin has worked within Business Administration since leaving college and is Level 3 qualified in Business Administration.

Jasmin’s previous experience within business administration has bought with her desire for high standards of performance, demonstrated by her implementing and managing a full processing system within the Co Angel Investment Service. Jasmin’s transition into the finance sector has proven seamless, with the strong ability to meet the needs of both HNW Investors and Entrepreneurs seeking investment.
